Content Management Systems (CMS)
A full CMS site is build like a database that runs in the background of your web site, and we design and build the page templates, and all the relevant information displays together on a web page. There’s no difference to what a user of the web site sees.
The main advantage to you, is much more freedom about the content of your site - you have access to the CMS, and using it you can change the words and images that appear on the site. That means that if you want to update your address details or product prices, you just amend them yourselves. You can also have areas that are not visible to the general public but only to those staff or customers you assign passwords to.
One thing you need to bear in mind is that because your web site is not a physical thing, it doesn't really ‘exist’ in one place, so there is not a ‘version’ of the site that we can give you as there isn’t anywhere that the two things exist together, apart from in cyberspace.
The look and feel of a CMS site can be built to suit your colour scheme, logo and general requirements. However a CMS web site can only be tailored to a certain extent and clients who want a highly individual design should perhaps consider a standard web site designed through a HTML Editor.
You can also just opt for a service contract drawing down ad hoc hours as and when you need them, i.e. we do all the work.
